What Lies Beneath: Week 7

Happy Holidays, everyone! Here is the state of What Lies Beneath:...

What Lies Beneath: Week 6

This past week we’ve made great progress whipping the layout of What Lies Beneath into shape! In fact, we are now happy to report that the vast bulk of the layout work is done. However, page references still need to be added; the table of contents and index both need to be generated; and there are still four pages where the text needs to be massaged slightly to fit the space. Once these tasks are completed, the book will officially move from layout into art direction....

What Lies Beneath: Week 5

We're happy to announce that What Lies Beneath's editing pass is now complete! It was finished this past week and the book has since moved into layout. Meanwhile, work is ongoing on two pieces of art, as well as the poster map. And although it's not strictly related, this week we also wrapped up the Shadows Over Sol: Dark Abyss quickstarter and sent backers their PDF rewards....

What Lies Beneath: Week 4

We're now almost a month into What Lies Beneath's production. Since the last weekly update, our editing pass has advanced to roughly 82% complete. Meanwhile, we received another completed piece of artwork and saw work-in-progress sketches of two more, including the artwork for the poster map. Our Black Friday sale also wrapped up and the Quickstarter for Shadows Over Sol: Dark Abyss is ongoing....

What Lies Beneath: Week 3

We're three weeks into What Lies Beneath's production and progress is being made!...

What Lies Beneath: Week 2

It's been two weeks since the funding period for What Lies Beneath came to a close. This is the first of our weekly progress reports. Last week we posted the quarterly Tab Update in its stead....

Saga Machine Guide for Foundry VTT

Saga Machine Guide for Roll20

A lot of gaming these days takes place using virtual tabletop (VTT) software, and Roll20 is one of the most popular virtual tabletop platforms. Thankfully, it's quite easy to start up a new Age of Ambition, Shadows Over Sol, Dime Adventures or Against the Dark Yogi campaign on it!...

Remembering the SAGA System

Many of my formative roleplaying years were spent playing the SAGA System, used by the old 90's Dragonlance Fifth Age and Marvel Super Heroes RPGs. From time to time, I have kicked around the idea of trying to put together a retroclone of the system, as it has a certain magic that I don't often see in games today....

2021 Fan Survey Results

As a company, we occasionally like to gather feedback from our fans and friends. This year to glean feedback we sent out a trio of surveys. The first two, the 2021 Fan Survey and Saga Machine Survey, were sent out to the general public. They asked questions about our publication plans and flagship roleplaying system, respectively. The third survey was sent out exclusively to our Patreon backers and largely mirrored the general fan survey....
