Saga Machine Guide for Foundry VTT

A lot of gaming these days takes place using virtual tabletop (VTT) software, and Foundry VTT is one of the fastest growing platforms. Thankfully, it's easy enough to start up a new Age of Ambition, Shadows Over Sol, Dime Adventures or Against the Dark Yogi campaign on it!...

Saga Machine Guide for Roll20

A lot of gaming these days takes place using virtual tabletop (VTT) software, and Roll20 is one of the most popular virtual tabletop platforms. Thankfully, it's quite easy to start up a new Age of Ambition, Shadows Over Sol, Dime Adventures or Against the Dark Yogi campaign on it!...

Remembering the SAGA System

Many of my formative roleplaying years were spent playing the SAGA System, used by the old 90's Dragonlance Fifth Age and Marvel Super Heroes RPGs. From time to time, I have kicked around the idea of trying to put together a retroclone of the system, as it has a certain magic that I don't often see in games today....

2021 Fan Survey Results

As a company, we occasionally like to gather feedback from our fans and friends. This year to glean feedback we sent out a trio of surveys. The first two, the 2021 Fan Survey and Saga Machine Survey, were sent out to the general public. They asked questions about our publication plans and flagship roleplaying system, respectively. The third survey was sent out exclusively to our Patreon backers and largely mirrored the general fan survey....

Jovian Whispers is Released!

Today we are happy to announce the release of Jovian Whispers, the second major campaign and expansion for Shadows Over Sol!...

Jovian Whispers: Week 9

This is a big week! The initial PDF of the Jovian Whispers campaign and sourcebook was released to backers. We're accepting error and and typo reports through August 10th, then we'll release the final, corrected PDF. Please send error reports using our contact page....

Jovian Whispers: Week 8

We made some decent progress this week. Digital proofing was finished for both the Sol System Poster Map and Escape From Prison Island. Both are now waiting for their printing proof to arrive. Meanwhile, the second unlocked One-Sheet Scenario, Fate of the Calamitas, moved from writing to editing. Progress was also made on writing the final two One-Sheet Scenarios....

Jovian Whispers: Week 7

We continue to make progress on Jovian Whispers. Surveys for Kickstarter backers close tomorrow and card will be charged. Writing progresses on the final three One-Sheet Scenarios. We're also making good progress proofing the campaign and only waiting on one final piece of art. And, although it is not Kickstarter-related, our July Patreon adventure, Escape From Prison Isle, has been editing and is waiting on its final proofing pass....

Jovian Whispers: Week 6

It's been a busy week! The proofing process for Jovian Whispers has started. Once that is complete and we receive the final two pieces of art, we'll release the initial PDF to backers! Meanwhile, the Sol System Poster Map has also reached the proofing step. We're going over the visible text with a fine-toothed comb. Once any typos or styling issues are fixed, it will be prepared for print. Finally, although it is not Kickstarter-related, our July Patreon adventure, Escape From Prison Isle, has finally been completely written and the draft text sent to our Patrons Supreme....

Jovian Whispers: Week 5

We're getting close! As I write this, Jovian Whispers is only waiting on three pieces of art, all of which have been commissioned. Once the last of the art comes in and we complete a proofing pass, the initial PDF will be sent to backers....
