Dark Yogi: Week Two

It's now been two weeks since the Against the Dark Yogi Kickstarter ended. In this last week we have continued to busily work towards completing the game book and fulfilling all of our backer rewards. Progress from this last week includes:

  • Backer surveys have been sent out to all backers. If you have yet to fill out your survey, please complete it ASAP so we can get our final cost estimates finalized.
  • "Thank You" emails have been sent out to all our $1 backers.
  • The additional adventure unlocked by our stretch goals has moved from outline to writing.
  • Progress on the characters being created by our THE CHARACTER backers: 3 of 8 now complete, 2 in progress. If you're a CHARACTER backer and haven't gotten back to us, please do ASAP so we can have characters finalized and ready for when we send the game to layout.
  • We have starting getting artwork back from our last round of commissioned art (such as the world map shown below).
  • Layout has been commissioned for the game's cover. Internal layout is still waiting on various things.

Next week we hope to finish the writing on the stretch goal adventure, plan to continue work on characters, plan to begin layout for our consequence cards and prana counters, and hope to continue to get art back. Right now we are on track for sending the full book to layout sometime in April.

Dark Yogi Preview: World Map

Among the art that we have gotten back in the last week is the world map of Bhurloka that will appear both in the game book and on the full-color poster map. This map was created by the excellent Robert Altbauer. You can see a preview version of the map below.

Dark Yogi: One Week After the Kickstarter

The Kickstarter for Against the Dark Yogi ended one week ago today, and since then we’ve been very busy getting the ball rolling towards the final release. Since the close of the Kickstarter we’ve been doing cost estimates, commissioning art, finalizing our layout plans and putting together the additional content for the book unlocked by our stretch goals.
