I'm just curious. Was the decision to go with a different implementation of the mechanics for AoA seen as adapting it to the material? Or as an evolution/improvement of the system? I guess what I'm asking is, would you have used the AoA version for SoS as a preference? Or do you like them as they are for each game?
(I guess a simpler way of asking would be, would Shadows Over Sol 2e look more like Age of Ambition?)
Tom, while Thorin may have a more complete answer, we have adapted Saga Machine for each setting we have released.
Thus, the rules have a very similar backbone but a very different flavor for our various settings in Age of Ambition, Shadows Over Sol, Against the Dark Yogi, and Dime Adventures. We like to customize the rules to fit the setting.
As to a future SoS 2e development, while we are in some very preliminary discussion of that now, I couldn't say what the finished product will look like.
