Hello, friends, fans and gaming family! We're now well into the second quarter of 2025 and it's time for the regular Tab Update.
But before we get too far, I want to first review our biggest announcement of the year, Shadows Over Sol: Second Edition. If you haven't followed it on Kickstarter yet, now is the time to do so! Every follower the campaign has helps boost its visibility. So go do that RIGHT NOW. It launches on Kickstarter in early August.
Now that Shadows Over Sol 2e's obligatory plug is done with, let's move on to our accomplishments since the last Tab Update. A lot has been happening behind the scenes, even if only a fraction of it has yet seen public release.
To begin with, theĀ Strange Bedfellows campaign and sourcebook for Age of Ambition was released to the public not long after the last update. Also released were its Player's Brief and the Helix Poster Maps. These wrapped up the queued released from that crowdfunding campaign.
Meanwhile, we continue put a fair amount of effort into our Foundry VTT support for Saga Machine Unified, paving the way for future releases and for a better all-around digital experience. To date, the Beta 2 release is most of the way implemented. It introduced support for Shadows Over Sol 2e, and will be the final release targeted at Foundry 12.
We've also put a fair amount of effort into upping our social media game. Our Bluesky, in particular, has seen tremendous growth, and there's been substantial growth in our Discord as well.
Now let's talk about Pateon. The transition from "at cost" to "monthly" billing that Patreon forced upon us was tough, but the dust has now settled and everything is back on track. So far Patrons have seen five Shadows Over Sol releases in support of Siren's Call: Creeping Murder, The Ligeia Probe, Howling Deceit, Deep Sabotage and Siren's Missions. None have been released to the public yet, but expect to see them hitting the virtual shelves in the weeks leading up to the Shadows Over Sol 2e Kickstarter. These, by the way, will be the final releases for the first edition of Shadows Over Sol.
Speaking of which, Shadows Over Sol 2e has seen the last of its playtesting and the vast majority of its writing completed. At the time of this post, only a single chapter is left in the writing stage. We've also completed the writing and editing on the Shadows Over Sol 2e: Quick-Start and are actively seeking an experienced graphic designer for it.
As you can see, we've been busy. So let's talk about the road ahead.
This upcoming quarter it's FULL SPEED AHEAD in preparing for the Shadows Over Sol 2e launch. Despite some frankly awful tariffs that have gone into effect since our last update, we still plan on delivering the best game we can for as reasonable of a price point as we can.
We plan to release the Shadows Over Sol 2e: Quick-Start at the same time as the full Kickstarter. (Patrons will get it a couple months early.) We also plan to release our queued up Shadows Over Sol one-sheets in the weeks leading up to the Kickstarter, and any one-sheets for our other game lines during it. At the very least we hope to have an Age of Ambition release lined up by that time, and hopefully a Dime Adventures one as well.
Beyond the Kickstarter... well... we'll have fulfillment to worry about. And anything beyond that is too far away to worry about right now. So that's where everything stands. Have a brilliant quarter and good gaming, everyone!
