If you have been accepted into a school or university in Kenya, you will need this travel authorization before you go. The application requires a valid passport scan, a recent photo, confirmed accommodation, flight bookings, and an official admission letter from your educational institution. The eTA offers single entry for up to 90 days, with multiple entry options available for longer study periods. I found the
Kenya Student eTA page really helpful for understanding the document checklist and processing times. Standard processing takes 3 to 5 days, but you can choose rush or super rush if your start date is approaching quickly. Just remember that this eTA does not automatically permit you to work while studying, so you will need separate authorization for that. Only US citizens can apply for the 5 year multiple entry option which is coming soon. Double check your eligibility and make sure your admission letter includes all required details before you submit your application.
